Elderly Development and Support
Overview

As the elderly population in India continues to grow, their need for support—both emotionally and practically—is becoming increasingly important. At Posterity Foundation, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors by providing them with the tools, resources, and care necessary to live with dignity, independence, and purpose. Our programs focus on empowering elderly individuals by offering digital literacy, financial management assistance, healthcare support, and community engagement opportunities to help them lead fulfilling lives.

Key Issues
01
Digital Exclusion
The rapid digitalization of services in India has left many elderly individuals unable to access essential resources, such as online healthcare, banking, and government schemes. Only 20% of seniors are digitally literate, making this a pressing issue.
02
Social Isolation
With changing family structures, many elderly people find themselves living alone, disconnected from their families and communities, leading to loneliness and mental health concerns.
03
Financial Vulnerability
Around 30% of India’s elderly live below the poverty line, relying heavily on pensions or minimal savings, making financial literacy and security crucial.
04
Healthcare Access
As the elderly population increases, the need for specialized healthcare services tailored to age-related issues like chronic diseases, mobility challenges, and mental health grows significantly.
Elderly Development and Support Interventions

Digital Literacy Programs

We offer workshops and training to help seniors navigate technology, teaching them how to use smartphones, access online services such as telemedicine and banking, and stay connected with loved ones.

Financial Literacy

Our financial literacy programs assist elderly individuals in managing their finances, budgeting their savings, and understanding pensions and government schemes, helping them gain financial independence and security.

03.
Caregiver Training

To support elderly individuals with chronic illnesses or disabilities, we provide training programs for caregivers, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge to offer the best possible care.
